There is a bad virus / spyware going around. It is a variation of an earlier one. If you keep getting a pop-up saying you are infected with a number of virus and you need to go to a web page to download their removal utility - DONT!
This is a virus - and will open your computer to various threats and potential loss of private information. It has gotten past all of the major antivirus / spyware programs because it generally comes as part of something you've downloaded. Try updating your antivirus / spyware program (you DO have one?) and run a complete scan.
If you cannot get rid of it, then you need to bring it in to us for a guaranteed removal.

Are you sick and tired of copying files onto floppy / USB / or CD just to use them on the other computer in your house?

Put simply, you need to allow your computers to TALK to each other. Windows XP comes with a built-in wizard to allow you to do this and all you need is a $15 cable!
There are many variations depending on your particular requirements. This will depend on
Do you have more than two computers? (then you need a "router" which is a box that allows a number (usually 4 or 8) computers to talk to each other),
Does one have wireless capabilities (eg a laptop)? Then you need a "wireless router".
If you have a broadband connection then you can get a device with the broadband modem, the wireless connection and the router all built in together!
